Marina Del Rey

An ambitious sprint and Olympic swim starting at Venice Beach, followed by a cycle race and run, winding along Venice Boulevard, and ending at L.A. Live! in downtown Los Angeles. Health & Fitness Expo will be held at the headquarters hotel, Marina del Rey Marriott.

The Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors teams up with the Los Angeles Audubon Society to offer fun and interesting nature walks throughout Dockweiler Beach. The tour will concentrate on finding Western Snowy Plovers, tiny birds that spend their lives on the beach - eating, sleeping and resting. Registration required. Sporadic Thursdays & Saturdays. Free.

Free guided tour of freshwater marsh, birds and native plants. 10-11am. Tour begins on south side of Jefferson Blvd., near Playa del Rey. Please call for directions.
