Thursday, May 17 - Venice Art Crawl

The Venice Art Crawl is a monthly exploration of the area celebrating Venice Beach's unique art, music and poetry scene. Location centered north of Venice Boulevard, along the Boardwalk, Speedway and Pacific Avenues ending at Westminster Avenue. Takes place the third Thursday of each month from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. Free.

Saturday, May 19 - 20 - Marinafest Boat Show

Community festival featuring recreational boating brokers, water sports, in-the-water boats, local businesses and entertainment for all ages. Sat 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Sun 11 a.m. -  5 p.m. $10 adults (children under 12 years free). G Basin and Pier 44 slips at Admiralty and Bali Way.

Saturday, May 19 - 20 - Venice Art Walk & Auctions

The Venice Family Clinic hosts a day of studio tours, food fair, art auction, live entertainment and an amazing community celebration! Art & Architecture Tours of artist studios & architecturally significant homes. Surf & Skate Auction featuring one-of-a-kind skate decks and surfboards. 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Tickets $50 per person. Live jazz, Latin, R&B, Blues concerts outdoors in the plaza near the lighthouse in Fisherman's Village, every Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting; 1- 4 p.m. (2 - 5 p.m. summer). Free.

Sunday, May 20 - Fisherman's Village Weekend Concert - Susie Hansen's Latin Band (Latin)

Live jazz, Latin, R&B, Blues concerts outdoors in the plaza near the lighthouse in Fisherman's Village, every Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting; 1- 4 p.m. (2 - 5 p.m. summer). Free.

Wednesday, May 23 - California Yacht Club's Sunset Sailing Series

Enjoy sunset from waterfront restaurants, Fisherman’s Village and the North Jetty during Marina del Rey’s largest sailing event as scores of sailors compete.

Thursday, May 24 - Birdwatching

Birdwatching in Ballona Wetlands, including shoreline habitat. Adult tour begins with a brief lecture. Bring water, sunscreen, comfortable footwear, hat, sunscreen. Begins at Burton Chace Park Community Room Lobby, 13650 Mindanao Way. Reservations required. Free.

Saturday, May 26 - Freshwater Marsh Interpretive Tour

Free guided tour of freshwater marsh, birds and native plants. 10-11am. Tour begins on south side of Jefferson Blvd., near Playa del Rey. Please call for directions.
