Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center

Since 1969, Beyond Baroque has offered book signings, readings, open mic nights, new music and free workshops as a gathering place for writers. Localted in the Old Venice City Hall.

Burton Chace Walking Club

Stay in shape and meet nice people! Anyone is welcome to take a walk with this public group activity on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Meet in Burton Chace Park office lobby and walk together as a group. 10-11 a.m. Free.

Childrens Storytime - Tuesdays

Story-time geared to preschoolers, with puppets, stories and crafts. Parental supervision required. Tuesdays, Lloyd W. Taber Library, 10:30 a.m. Please arrive a little early. Free.

First Fridays on Abbot Kinney Boulevard

On the 1st Friday of each month, the shops on Abbot Kinney Boulevard are open until 10pm. Browse, shop and enjoy entertainment, refreshments, discounts and specials.

Playa Vista Farmers' Market

Fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers direct from local farmers as well as other traditional market fare.

Third Thursdays - Venice Art Crawl

The Venice Art Crawl is a monthly exploration fo the area celebrating Venice Beach's unique art, music and poetry scene. Location centered north of Venice Boulevard, along the Boardwalk, Speedway and Pacific Avenues ending at Westminster Avenue. Takes place the third Thursday of each month from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. Free.

Uninstructed Model Painting

Marchese Fine Arts embraces creativity with weekly model painting workshops in the gallery, along Fisherman's Village. Models hold 3-hour poses each Saturday for two-three week cycles. Classses run from 1 - 4 p.m. Open, onsight enrollment at $20 per person; parking discounts. Free public viewing encouraged.   

Venice Farmers' Market - Weekly Fridays

Fresh flowers, fruits and vegetables and lots of local color straight from the grower every Friday. 7 - 11 a.m.

Weekend Fisherman's Village Concerts

Free outdoor concerts, including R&B, Jazz, Latin, Pop and Blues every Saturday and Sunday afternoon (weather permitting) in Fisherman’s Village, 13755 Fiji Way. 1-4 p.m. (2-5 p.m. summer).
