TRIP PLANNER – FULL DAY ITINERARY

Only have an hour or so? Here are a few fun ways to spend it in the Marina.

  • Full–day itinerary (birdwatching)

Landlubbers might prefer one of the several self-guided walking tours of the Marina to take in the sights, or some unparalleled birdwatching in the Ballona Wetlands.
  • Full–day itinerary (California cuisine)

While you’re out and about, you’ll find plentiful places to dine in style – whether you’re in the mood for seafood by the water, an intimate Italian café or inventive California cuisine.
  • Full–day itinerary (sportfishing)

For an invigorating start, grab a quick bite at a nearby cafe then head off for a half-day of captivating sportfishing, even a private, skippered boat charter to head up the coast.
  • Full–day itinerary (Venice Beach)

Shopping districts nearby are not to be missed. For a carnival-like atmosphere, try Venice Beach and Ocean Front Walk. Enticing, eclectic boutiques can be found at Abbot Kinney Blvd., and many favorite stores at Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade.
  • Full–day itinerary (concerts)

Cap your day with one of the Marina Summer Concerts held in Burton Chace Park on select Thursdays and Saturdays, or grooving to the DJ beats at one of the Marina’s hot nightspots.
