Take Note: Where to Find Live Music in Marina del Rey
May 1, 2019
Whether it’s a cover band, a funky jazz trio, or just a guy with a guitar, live music can be enjoyed in the Marina day or night. Did you know you can sail along the harbor and enjoy live jazz every weekend with Hornblower Cruises? If you’re looking to show off some dance moves, you can hit up our weekly Beach Eats at Marina “Mother’s” Beach or Fisherman’s Village Concerts on the weekends. And yes, you can unwind with cocktails and live music at several spots along the waterfront here, too.
You’ll have no “treble” finding live music in L.A.’s Marina.
This weekly food truck gathering is held every Thursday 5–9 p.m at Marina “Mother’s” Beach. Grab your food, listen to live music from 6-8 p.m. and enjoy the sand, picnic tables, and scenic Marina del Rey harbor. Trucks and menus change weekly.
A flamenco guitar duo adds to the relaxing Sunday brunch scene at this sophisticated waterfront restaurant located at The Ritz-Carlton-Marina del Rey, 11:30 a.m.–3 p.m. 4375 Admiralty Way; 310-574-4333.
Hornblower Cruises offers brunch sailings on Saturdays and Sundays year-round. Enjoy views of the sparkling harbor and passing sailboats while you dine on a gourmet meal. Feast on a brunch buffet and bottomless champagne or sparkling cider with live jazz entertainment, and more on a two-hour scenic cruise.
This Marina del Rey mainstay features steak, seafood, and American food in a Polynesian-themed waterfront atmosphere. Come on a Wednesday and get treated to live acoustic music from Uncle Monkey in the bar, 3-7 p.m. Salsa dancing is on deck for Fridays, starting at 9 p.m. Join in on the free class before the floor opens to all at 10 p.m.
Enjoy free live music on the plaza at Fisherman’s Village. Saturdays and Sundays year-round, weather depending. Free admission! Get two hours free parking with validation from a shop or restaurant in the village.
