Food trucks are always fun but better when you’re at the beach with live music. Beach Eats is Marina del Rey’s weekly food truck gathering at Marina “Mother’s” Beach now through September 26, 5-9 p.m. Bring your own beach chair and enjoy the free live music entertainment from 6-8 p.m. at 4135 Admiralty Way.

WELCOME CHEF JOB CARDER

How many chefs can say they were born to be a chef? Cafe del Rey’s new executive chef Job Carder was literally born on a dining table in his family dining room in Highland Park, just north of Dodgers Stadium. A Patina alum, he also served as executive chef at San Gabriel Valley and Northern California spots including Dish Bistro in Pasadena and Manzanita in Healdsburg, earning many accolades and awards.
