Ideas for a Fun Labor Day Weekend in Marina del Rey

Three-day holiday weekend, here we come! For those who have a day off on Friday, then more power to you—a four-day holiday weekend is quite a treat. We’re stoked to share all the Labor Day weekend fun in store for you: we’ve got a fun brunch cruise on Hornblower, the final outdoor summer concert at Burton Chace Park, the arrival of Maiden to Marina del Rey as part of its worldwide tour and more!

While many Angelenos leave town during Labor Day weekend, locals and visitors come from all over to explore Southern California, including L.A.’s Marina. With Marina del Rey located in the heart of the coastline (and just 4 miles from LAX), it’s easy breezy to spend a day or two in L.A.’s premier waterfront playground.

Adventure-seekers can dive into on-the-water fun, such as chartered sailing excursions, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, paddleboard yoga classes, deep-sea sportfishing trips, parasailing, and more. Just want to kick back and relax? Take it easy and hop on the summer-season WaterBus. Pack a picnic and head to the outdoor summer concert at Burton Chace Park. Stay awhile at local restaurants, as it’s easy to be captivated by the views of luxury yachts and romantic sunsets. Or, take in the sights of the harbor on a dining cruise with live entertainment and dancing under the stars.

With sunny weather brightening everyone’s spirits, it’s easy to find something for everyone in L.A.’s Marina for the holiday weekend. Send these ideas to your one friend who plans everything (everyone has that friend). Or show this page to your family so everyone can agree on what to do this weekend!
