1. Sail Away on a Sunset Cruise

4. Ride the WaterBus

A favorite by locals and visitors on summer weekends, hop on the WaterBus for a scenic ride around the Marina! For 2020, the WaterBus makes six stops along the marina for only $1 per ride one-way. 5. Drive your own Boat

With a valid driver’s license, you can be the captain of your own boat. Choose from an electric duffy boat or a power boat. Pack a lunch and dine on the water--a fun social distancing activity for the summer! Check on availability with Marina del Rey Boat Rentals located at Fisherman's Village.

6. Beach Eats TO GO

7. Stand-up Paddleboarding

Fun for all ages, stand-up paddle boards can be rented from Marina “Mother’s” Beach with ProSUP Shop or Paddle Method. Or Marina del Rey Boat Rentals, offers rentals at Fisherman’s Village. For those with your own equipment, the public boat launch at 13477 Fiji Way is also open. Make sure to socially distance from others even while on the water.

8. Go Fishing

9. Kayaking

A fun way to explore the marina, kayaking is perfect either solo or as a pair. Companies renting kayaks have new safety procedures in place to ensure physical distancing and sanitizing of vessels, equipment and life jackets. Check out Marina del Rey Boat Rentals or ProSUP Shop. 10. Yoga

Tap into nature by doing yoga, meditation or breathing exercises in L.A.’s Marina. Make the ocean your yoga mat by doing yoga on a paddleboard with YOGAqua. Or stretch out on the sand at Marina “Mother’s” Beach or the grass at Burton Chace Park.

11. Parasailing and Jet-Skiing

Adventure-seekers can hop on a jet-ski or take flight on a parasailing excursion over Santa Monica Bay. Make a reservation in advance through Marina del Rey Boat Rentals, and Marina del Rey Parasailing.

13. Biking

Scenic Marina del Rey is located along the Marvin Braude Coastal Bike Trail, a 22-mile coastal path from Santa Monica all the way to Torrance. LA County beach bike paths are now open. 14. Burton Chace Park

Want more fresh air? Head to this beautiful 10-acre park surrounded by water. Bring your own food or order takeout for a picnic. Note: picnic tables are closed, so find a spot on the grass to socially distance from others. Other fun things to do here: Fly a kite, eat ice cream, read a book, or keep an eye out for sea lions.

15. Beach Day

With beaches now open in Los Angeles for both recreational activity and lounging, choose Marina del Rey beaches for fun in the sun. Marina "Mother's" Beach offers plenty of space to relax on the sand and play in the waters of this calm cove. Here, you can find watersports rentals for kayaks and stand-up paddle boards as well as yoga on paddleboard lessons. Marina Peninsula Beach is located South of Venice Pier where you can walk along a paved path to the North Jetty. This area is accessible along Via Marina.
