We rounded up 5 fun things to do on sunny weekends in L.A.’s Marina. When the weather forecast is sunny and 70 degrees, Marina del Rey is the place to be to enjoy Vitamin Sea and fresh air. Keep reading below for more ideas!
Parasailing over the Pacific
Book a 500' or 800' parasailing trip out of Fisherman's Village where you'll get a bird's eye view of the Pacific coastline. You can fly solo, as a pair or up to three people (weight and weather restrictions may apply). Reservations are highly recommended especially during the weekends.
Insider Tip: Sunny days are the best time to go up and fly--you can see all the way to the Santa Monica Mountains and sometimes the Hollywood sign!
Deep Sea Fishing Adventure
Take the bait and head off for some of the Marina's fantastic sportfishing. Book a private charter for you and your friends (pictured here: Fin Fetish Sportfishing) or go on a public fishing excursion. Click button for more information.
Insider Tip: Most of the charters will clean and prep your catch!
Fun-in-the-Sun Beach Day
This peaceful 12-acre lagoon is easy walking distance from most of the Marina’s hotels. Staffed by lifeguards during the summer, the beach has playground equipment, sheltered picnic tables, and easy access to restrooms. Click button for more information.
Insider Tip: Enjoy dining just steps from the beach at waterfront restaurants such as Beachside and Killer Shrimp.
Sip Cocktails on a Dining Cruise
Hop aboard the popular two-hour public dining cruises and sip cocktails on the open-air top decks while you enjoy incredible views of the water. Click below to make reservations for your perfect cruise experience.
Insider Tip: Take pictures at Fisherman's Village before or after your cruise. The charming New England replica is a gorgeous backdrop for selfies!
