2017 Events inL.A.'s Marina
Burton Chace Park is transformed into a winter wonderland with over 80 tons of real snow, used to make a sledding hill and snow-kissed pine forest. Also enjoy crafts, music, face painting, and food trucks. The entire event is free, with food for purchase.
Award-winning journalist Carol Costello is the grand marshal of the 55th Annual Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade. This year's theme is “Let’s Dance.” The popular viewing places are Burton Chace Park and Fisherman's Village. Download a Marina map below for parking lot information.
Killer Rides Car Show & Toy Drive
Killer Shrimp Restaurant & Bar hosts this charity event and car show in its parking lot on December 10, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Free to show your car and free to attend! Come ogle the rows hot rods, motorcycles, and muscle cars on display. Bring an unwrapped toy to be donated to the L.A. County Fire Department.
Enjoy live caroling 4-6 p.m., an outdoor holiday movie screening starting at 6 p.m., and sweet snacks and beverages from CHURRO BOSS for sale. Our famous Snow Globe photo booth is also open 4-8 p.m. Activities are free. On December 16, The Voices of Christmas sing carols a capella style, and Home Alone is that night’s film. Lawn seating; bring your own low-back chairs.

New Year's Eve Celebration at the Park
Head to Burton Chace Park for a Glow Party, 7 p.m.–midnight, with face painting, DJ music, dancing, and food trucks. Watch live broadcasts of the east and west coast countdowns to the New Year – with fireworks at 8:59 p.m. and again at 11:59 p.m.
New Year's Eve Dining

Make reservations soon, as these events usually sell out with many people wanting to get the perfect waterfront table to watch the fireworks.
Holiday Boat Parade
Burton Chace Park and Fisherman’s Village are the best places to watch the trail of lighted boats cruise the main channel. A 10-minute fireworks show at 5:55 p.m. will announce the start of the parade.
Eighty tons of snow are trucked in to Burton Chace Park to make a sledding hill and snow-play area. Pummel your pals with balls of snow – then take cover behind a Christmas tree!
New Year’s Eve
Burton Chace Park is the staging ground for the Marina’s NYE celebration. New this year is a Glow Party, 7 p.m.–midnight, with activities the whole family will enjoy. Watch a live broadcast of the east and west coast countdowns to 2018, plus fireworks at 8:59 p.m. and 11:59 p.m.

Marina Lights and Snow Wonder take place at Burton Chace Park. You can also watch the Holiday Boat Parade and New Year's Eve fireworks at the park, as well as Fisherman's Village. Click the button to download a printable map with public parking options. Pay attendant if present, or use the pay-and-display kiosks (accept cash and Visa/Mastercard).
The free weekend beach shuttle runs on a loop between Playa Vista, the Marina, and the Venice Pier with shuttles arriving approximately every 30 minutes. Service runs 10 a.m.–10 p.m. Fridays–Saturdays, and 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Sundays and holidays. THE FREE RIDE
The Free Ride offers free daily transportation in the Marina from noon till 9 p.m. If you see a car, wave it down.
